About Lindy | |
|
Lindy has completed a training class already and will be signed up for another in her new home. Her adopter's love her and have realistic expectations for an adolescent dog that spent her entire life in a shelter. Lindy is really coming along in all areas with just some more training need to not chase cats!
"Lindy is a loving, happy pup. In six weeks she's learned to respond to her name and has mastered sit, down, stand, stay, and leave it. She is reasonably solid on "come" and does well off lead when outside near our home. She's doing well in obedience class, and enjoys going to doggie daycare two days a week. She's very close to being able to call herself housetrained. She loves hiking on Mt. Mansfield and Camel's Hump and splashing in water. We're working on exposing her to new situations. She becomes overstimulated by new places/people/animals and becomes overexuberant to the point of losing her self-control (i.e., manners go out the window). This is perfectly understandable as she's an adolescent and has spent so much of her life in a shelter environment; busy new situations put her into sensory overload."
Thanks Chris and Dan!
