Bodhi
Hi, Teal - I was looking at your site just now and thought I'd send some new pictures. They both love the water (except when it's falling from the sky!). They remain two more of the Best Dogs on the Planet. Coalie is bigger than Bodhi and can still outfox and outrun him, but midair catches are his specialty. He is on a hypoallergenic diet due to chronic skin irritation, and I think we are going to go ahead with the allergy tests to get a real handle on it, but he is happy-go-lucky, everyone is a new friend. Coalie is steadfastly 'my' girl, lies ON my feet when I'm reading or watching tv, and she's first at the door when I come home. We are so fortunate to have these two in our family; we are grateful every day.
Thank you again.
Bixby
As we come up to the 3 year anniversary of our adopting Barley (formerly Bixby), I thought I'd give you an update.
We had to work through some fear aggression issues with him in the beginning, but he has grown into one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met. He has a big personality and people comment on his sweet nature and good looks where ever we go. He lives for hikes, swimming and daycare – where he is currently the "pup of the month" :-) He also has 3 kitty friends who loves to play and cuddle with.
Just wanted to thank you and your organization again for all the work you do and for bringing Barley into our lives
Bella
Hi Teal!
I can't believe that it has been almost 2 years since we got Jaina. I was peeking at your website and thought I'd send a success story to you! We feel so lucky to have Bella, now known as Jaina, in our lives. We feel as if we've won the dog lottery! She is calm and sweet in the house and a wonderful hiking/running partner outside. When we first adopted her you said there was not a person or a dog she's met that she didn't love. The same is still true, she wags her tail with more gusto than any dog I know. She is especially fond of little dogs and lets them tackle her as if they were her size!
Thanks so much for all that you guys do, Good Karma Rescue lives up to its name.

No one could try harder to bring an animal in need of a home & an animal lover together then Teal Church from Good Karma Rescue.
I adopted a beautiful & very timid dog from her & accidentally dropped his retractable leach 1 hour after bringing him home. He bolted off & was gone for 5 & 1/2 days. Teal spent long hours & a lot of money to help me find & retrieve him. A blood hound was used from the northeast kingdom and a telephone alert service called 1,500 neighbors to notify them of my lost dog, plus hours camping out until 2:45AM one night to try to trap him. Green Mt Animal Defenders were called by Teal & were extremely helpful in the rescue. Also helpful was the Neighborhood Forum.
Teal is the most loving animal lover I know. Due to her caring, persistence, knowledge & time spent, I have my darling dog back. The dogs best interest is always her priority.
